It all started with a razor
The humble razor blade, a product taken for granted by many, belies a decidedly complex design and manufacturing process. For Mers, that process goes back over 15 years, more than 200 patents and huge investment that combines innovation with engineering excellence, to give the elegant product of today.
Hidden behind the scenes is a robust commitment to working for the environment. From the use of solar energy, through converting waste heat produced by heavy machinery into hot water for staff, to using eco-friendly plastics and packaging, the Mers’ pledge is unequivocal. Just like the product itself.
Sustainability and Innovation
As a new-generation business, we care about our precious blue planet. We constantly review our own and supply chain partners' energy consumption and overall environmental impact so that we can all improve. Our laser and other energy intensive machinery are frequently upgraded to reduce energy consumption and production costs for our clients.
We recycle waste heat from heavy machinery to heat water in our worker accommodation area. Mers also uses electric delivery vans where possible.
